As U Wish Catering

Saturday was an extremely busy day.. First, I woke up late lol (don't ever.. especially when I have a gang of stuff to do).. second, it was Saturday.. all I wanted to do was just SLEEP! Instead, did a little coupon shopping, stopped at my sisters house, and then went our merry way.. on to Bountiful Utah.

We hung out with the girls from As U Wish Catering. Lei Wolfgramm Moors is an old friend of mine.. we go waaaaaaaaay back lol.. Her daughter is all grown up now!! I couldn't believe how tall and beautiful Leticia was.. was so good to see her. Lei invited us to come take some candid shots of a wedding she was catering today up in Bountiful. I asked my friend Celeste to go with me so we could get twice as many good shots. Needless to say, I was ill equipped today. The lighting inside was not very cooperative, and made me realize that I need to purchase a flash before long. Here are a few that we took at the wedding. Thanks again Lei for letting us hang out with you guys today.. it was a blast.. (oh, and the food was bomb lol)

The Tilo's

Yesterday was an extremely gloomy day in Lehi.. and of course, I had scheduled a photo shoot with my nephew and his little fams.. We were going to start at 7pm, but because it looked like it was about to rain on our parade.. we tried to get it done a little earlier before the downpour (it didn't help that this weekend was Lehi Roundup Days and roads were closed off).

Just a little background on my nephew Toa.. he's an extremely cool cat. Humble to say the least, and just an all around shy guy. Its hard for him to ask people for things (typical Samoan lol).. so I volunteered, seeing as they have never had their family pictures taken. I hope I did them justice. Here's a look at the Tilo family..

So here we go.. first one.. wish me luck...

My name is Myrna and this is my blog. Thank you for stopping by to visit me and checking out the photos that I have taken. This is my first post, so please do forgive me for rambling.. I'm not very good at blogging.. as of yet :)

I have taken quite a few photos in the past 5-10 years.. and it has been a hobby of mine of some sorts.. I had never taken it quite seriously even up until last year. I offered my sons' teams to do their team and individuals for no charge. I received very good feedback and thought nothing of it.

This year tho.. because my husband has been sick I had some ideas run through my head on how to make some extra money to help take care of my family. Some friends and family suggested that I pursue photography on a whole 'nother level other than just as a hobby. I thought it over and with the support of my husband, I started doing some research. I have been reading blog after blog, massive amounts of books, websites, software research and I think I have somewhat a firm grasp on what I'm doing. Don't get me wrong.. I'm scared and nervous.. but hopefully as time goes on I will develop a sense of belonging to the world of photography, and hope to be able to develop my own adaptation and hopefully people would love to see what I offer them through pictures.

Without further ado, two of some of my most favorite people in the world. I have an infinite love for these two girls.. they are my nieces. Natisha is going to be 17 years old, and she was.. I would say.. the very first person who stole my heart. I helped raise her when she was a baby.. she was my sidekick. Wherever I went, Teesh went with me. As I watched her grow into a beautiful young woman.. it saddens me somewhat that as she grows older, the less she will need her Aunty Myrna. On the other hand, Rita is truly one of a kind. She has inherited Tisha's strong personality, but has no problem standing out on her own. She, at an early age already has a streak of independence. All I have to say is.. I pity the fool who will try to steal these girls from their daddy lol..
